Well, some of you know that I did my sister's cake for her wedding... last October. :o) I am just now getting my hands on the pictures to post on my blog.
Cake decorating is something I have had an interest in for a while but haven't had the opportunity to do a lot with yet. When the opportunity came up to do this cake I took it because it was something fairly simple, seeing as how I don't really have any experience yet.
I am now looking into doing a lot more with it and becoming more of an expert. But I just wanted to share a couple pictures of the one wedding cake I have done so far.

Counting
This is a little post to brag about my little miracle of a son. The other day Asher was playing with some game pieces. He was making them jump off the computer desk when I heard him say, "one, two, three..." I was shocked because I have counted a little with him, but not much, only to about five on fingers. I have been focusing more on shapes and colors. I looked at him and said, "Did you just say 'one, two, three?'" He then preceded to say, "four, five, six, seven, eight." I was amazed! I'm sure he's heard it before, but I don't really know where and I didn't realize he knew the numbers that well.
I haven't been able to get it on video yet, but will keep trying. So, we've been practicing our numbers and letters. He'll be sitting playing and I'll hear him say things like, "six, H, X, two..." He names off all the numbers and letters he can remember. I am blessed with such a bright child. If he keeps this up, he'll pass me up in a few years. :o)

3 Posts in one day--Look at me go!
These are not the best pictures, just some I already had on my computer. (Most of our wedding pictures are hard copies, I have yet to scan them in.) Below are a few pictures of us. This first one has a story to go along with it. When Josh purposed he said he was just doing a dry run so that he wouldn't be nervous when the real thing happened. He had a ring pop to fake purpose with... the real ring was hidden in the bag.
Do you remember that feeling of walking out of the temple to your friends and family clapping and thinking, "I did it!" What a wonderful feeling, knowing that you worked hard to be worthy to be sealed for time and all eternity to the person of your choice. There are few better feelings in life.
Potty Training
This is him saying "Stop!", the new word he's picked up. Great!
Mini-Vacation
After check-out we found a really fun imagination park. We played there for a little while, but it was super hot!The next day was Sunday, so we visited the temple. Here is Asher cheesin' it! We also found Brigham Young's winter home and went through a tour there. That was neat for me because I am one of his direct descendants. And then went up the canyon and climbed this huge rock. It was a beautiful view!
